Microsuction
Microsuction is the gold standard of earwax removal and the safest, most effective method available. Using a fine suction probe and an endoscope for a clear view of the ear canal, our clinicians gently remove earwax without the need for water or pre-treatment softening drops (though we do recommend using olive oil drops beforehand).

Ear Irrigation
Ear irrigation (also known as ear syringing) uses a controlled, gentle flow of warm water to flush out earwax. This is a well-established technique that is safe and effective when performed by a trained clinician. We recommend using olive oil drops for at least 3 days before your appointment to soften the wax.

Dry Tool Removal
Dry tool removal uses specialist instruments such as a Jobson Horne probe or wax hook to manually remove earwax from the ear canal. This technique is particularly useful for removing harder, drier wax that may not respond as well to suction or irrigation. It is always performed under direct visualisation for safety.
